	The Abbotts Magic Get Together is fortunate to have one of the best stage crews in show business. For years, they've worked anonymously to put on 5 - 6 shows at every Get-Together. Working quietly behind the scenes, they've managed the props, curtains, lights and sound for thousands of other magicians. You may not know that they are all successful performing magicians. This year, we've invited them to come out from behind the curtain and share their talents with you. Join your host, Abbotts Stage Manager Mark Holstein, as he proudly showcases the talents of his amazing team: Richard Hughes and his Enchanted Garden, Jim Fitzsimmons with Kid Stuff, Jeff Boyer, the Magical Construction Worker, the comedy magic of Artie Kidwell and the rock & roll magic of Chezaday.

MAGIC MINISTERS SESSION
Duane & Mary were in the pastoral ministry for 17 years before becoming Christian Illusionists

Whether you are performing Gospel magic or not, take the time to see Duane Laflin do the Magic Ministers Sessions at the Abbotts Get Together. Every idea is great and most of the props are ones you already have. Performance and technique are covered in a most entertaining way and we guarantee you will enjoy this gem of an event. Duane is a member of the "Inner Magic Circle with Gold Star" This is a special international honor of highest regard in the world of magicians. The "Osgood Files" national radio program did a full segment about Duane & Mary and the fact that they are Christians and Illusionists.

COLON CEMETERY TOUR
Al continues a wonderful Get Together tradition

Al takes you on a tour of the Colon cemetery where many famous magicians are buried. Al explains who each magician was, what they did and some insight about them in his own, inimitable way. This tour is a favorite project of Al's. Why? One reason could be that 16 years earlier Karrell Fox gave Al the same tour, check it out here Al has been featured in many local publications and magazines such as "Crain's Small Business", "Money", and "Success", for his work in Corporate America. Although he typically performs at company banquets, cocktail parties and hospitality suites, you can also find him working at trade shows and sales meetings.

Learn Ventriloquism the fun way from the author of "Magic with your Voice"!

George (and friends) takes you step by step through the basics of ventriloquism and demonstrates everything along the way. You do not need a puppet! You do not need any special equipment or talent to do this, and the entire family can learn and be entertained at the same time. Highly recommended for everyone who wants to add a touch of fun to their act! A past national president of the Society of American Magicians who has also been elected to the SAM Hall of Fame, Schindler serves on the board of trustees of the Society of American Magicians Endowment Fund. He is the chairman of the Houdini Hospital Fund. He is a member of the IBM, MAES, the Magic Circle of London, the Australian Society of Magicians and was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Milbourne Christopher Foundation.

Begin the 2009 Abbotts Magic Get-together with the most enjoyable, non-scheduled event during Magic Week: The 20th Annual Open Colon Golf Classic. If you like to golf, like to party and like to spend a day with magicians who golf...YOU CAN'T MISS THIS GOLF OUTING. Tee off time is at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 5th, 2009 at St. Joseph Valley Golf Club (1 269 467 6275) , on M-86 just west of Nottawa, Michigan. Heres what you need to know: $10.00 is your cost to Al The Only the day of the outing. There is NO pre-registration. If you show up, you're there. If you want to golf, you pay the greens and cart fee at the course. If you want to eat/drink, you order what and when you want and pay for it. For more info click here.

Once again the gang from Street of Cards will be onhand doing live interviews and broadcasts but this year YOU can be the star! Thats right, if you want to be interviewed by the hottest magic feed in the world ask for an interview form when you pick up your registration at Abbotts. Fill out the form (it basicly asks what your name is and what you would like to discuss or what trick you want to do) and turn it in to one of the S.O.C. people (who will be broadcasting from several locations this year) and they will do their best to get you on their Live Magic Broadcast!
