Get Together Guest Book

GREAT Get-together this year! Can't wait until next,but guess i will. Lectures were awesome & a great mix. Thank you for all the hard work!

There is allot here to do and see here on this website as well as coming to Colon to see Abbotts and the history there I hope to be able to come visit soon

ive only been to colon once. it was a four hour drivr but it was worth it . i meen look at all the cool stuff they have and do. colon is a great place and i expect to be back this year

I'm sorry to report that Percy Abbott's oldest daughter, Vida Rose, died at the age of 99 years, 3 months and 3 days on 26th April. Her younger sister Margie is still alive and turns 98 this month. Vida had a long and happy life and had some great stories about travelling around Australia and doing magic shows in country towns when she was a small girl. Her sister Linda still survives in the USA and Linda's neice Robyn will be visiting Australia in June.

Some of my fondest magic memories come from attending Abbotts conventions dating way back to the 1970s. Friends I made there have lasted a lifetime. The event is less nothing else anywhere on earth and MUST be experienced at least once. The Abbott's Sword Through Neck is still my signature piece in every one of my stage shows, and my Abbotts Sword Basket (which I perform with an un-stooged kid from the audience) has served me well when I've been asked to tack on a big trick for the ending. Did I mention that Abbotts props are solid? Pros can TROUPE with this stuff without worrying whether it will hold up.

All that is 'missing' ? PLEASE do a big improvement ! Just add the dates when all those wonderful old Columns originally appeared ! That would REALLY help to accurately pin-point and make them actually 'more relevant' because of how it would tie them into when they were written and appeared. Webmaster note-most dates should be at the articles, we left them off the TOC due to cosmetics

Brings back a lot of great memories from my childhood. I was very fortunate to have met Harry Blackstone Sr. & Jr. on the streets of Colon, Also Duke Stern in the Shop. These were all nice men and I'll always admire them. Thanks

I am a newbie to this site -when I was young my uncle was quite the magician-and then I literaly ran into ted corrothers from toledo- he was the easter bunny and I was the raccoon- I hung around his magic store for years-since I have moved up to northern michigan where there are no magic stores around (close) I remembered ted said that colon,michigan was the magic capital of the world. he talked about it all the time- since my interest in magic has been rekindled- I found this site. I believe that I will be working for awhile in order to submerge myself in cosmic euphoria- thanks for having this site and your life long passion in sharing this great gift of magic.

Abbotts Magic is what I know as "home". I've grown up with magic as a big part of my life and coming back to it each year for the Get-Together is the number one event of my year. I have many cherished memories and look forward to having many more. You guys are the best.

Did you know that Percy Abbott's 2 eldest daughters are still alive...Vida is almost 99 and Marjie is 97. Unfortunately, neither is in good health. I believe that 1 of their 2 half-sisters in the US is also still alive. A piece of history!

We all hope & pray next years get together will once again find Greg at the helm healthy & robust.

You guys have allways done a great job. Thanks for the support, and all the fond Get-Together memories! As you may or may not know, Abbotts Magic manufactured and distributed my first ever magic effect, way back in 1980. Anyone know what that effect was called? Your the best! Thanks again guys!

This site is Great! Kudos!!!! 2008 was my 3rd Get Together. Can't wait till 2009

this is the best magic site in the world

I must admit that this site has gotten REALLY fantastic over the last few years. I love the Interact section too. The Street of Cards video is something everyone should check out if given the chance.

Not a 10 yet. There is always room for improvement. Great site though. Im glad its up. I remember ordering from you guys my first illusion book back in 1993. How time flys. Keep up the good work.

What a nice site. I know some people who like magic. I have to recommend this site for them.

I visited in 1971, (appx.), as a very young man. Mr. Neil Foster was behind the counter. We were such magic fans that we knew who he was, and were very nervous and excited as he demonstrated tricks. Of COURSE my older brother walked out with a Zombie ball. I got an egg beg, and some other tricks. We used to subscribe to the catalog. Among the family archives is a copy of "Card Magic By LePaul.". Thank you ,Abbotts, for existing. We love you.

I love going to these conventions/get togethers and this is one of the better ones. Does get a little hot there, but they have a decent enough beach.
