other treat, for the big hit of the show there is "The Great Tomsoni" and Co. I've been a JOHNNY THOMPSON fan for a long time but I've never seen the act with the "and Co.", which is, of course, his beautiful wife, PAM. She's a terrific addition to the act. Her mugging, gum chewing portrayal of the "dumb-blonde" assistant is excellent. John has many new bits in the act, all of which played well. He's very busy at work on a couple of comedy illusions that are to be added to the act soon. I'll come out again, John, when they're finished, I'm that big a Thompson fan.
After 40 winks (it was closer to 30), I dropped by the "Aladdin" hotel for a visit with ex-Detroiter GEORGE JOSEPH.. George has the title of Games Analyst, however, he still finds time to do a little close-up magic for some of the hotel's most famous visitors. When you're in Vegas, stop by the ALADDIN and see George. He's not only a nice guy, but also has some card miracles that will "blow your mind."
The highlight of my Vegas visit was a supper party at the brand new home of the Thompsons. John grilled steaks on the patio, made the best salad I've tasted in years, and Pam did all the rest. The Thompson's were perfect hosts, and their guests included NORM NIELSON (who was in town for a quick visit), and the stars of the M.G.M. show (in fact I'd call them the hottest magic act in the world!) SIEGFRIED AND ROY. It was a great evening, and the perfect closer for my trip. Thanks to all of the nice magic folk mentioned, for the hospitality.

To PHIL GOLDSTEIN for his two new books. "The Blue Book of Mental ism" and "The Red Book of Mental ism." I hope you publish a whole RAINBOW of 'em, Phil, they are excellent!

This was a publicity shot taken for the Detroit boat show a few years ago. The "pitchman" extolling the impossibility of Abbott's "Girl in The Fishbowl" is ROY KISSELL, and the "teeny-weeny" mermaid in the bikini is the beautiful LYNN.
This past month found me flying off to Las Vegas, or as the beautiful Lynn, calls it, "Glitterville." I was there to do just one hour of close-up magic at the M.G.M. hotel. As soon as the show was finished, I grabbed the phone and called my pal, magi-pickpocket, RICKI DUNN. Ricki is the star of the ice show at the Flamingo Hotel. I met Ricki backstage, and after a nice visit, I went out front to see the show. The show was fabulous, and Ricki really had the crowd with him. His act has changed a bit since I saw him last. He no longer opens with a monologue, just a few opening remarks and right into the pickpocketing with a committee from the audience. very strong!
My next stop was the "Tropicana" and an-
