photos, I get a long distance call from state editor of The Columbus Citizen, who says he is noticing the stuff I sent Getchell to work from, and it looks interesting, and would I mind if they gave us a nice writeup in the Citizen Sunday Magazine. Naturally I wouldn't mind, so they did . . . gave us a whole page with a five-column banner headline. Later they sent me all the cuts used in this free . .. which I could use, and they were worth around twenty bucks. So, right off the bat I get a nice free spread in a big paper with many thousands circulation, that I would not have got otherwise. It produced lots of dates too, as it is widely read in this territory. So, already I have my fifty bucks back several times. Of course, Melson is running this drawing too . . . and since he is a cartoonist in his own right, and also a former newspaper writer... he wouldn't use it if it were a poor "drawing . . . that's the way it works, boys.

If you find the printer or artist you want is busy . . . just remember that their stuff is in demand, or they wouldn't be busy. Don't expect them to work for little or nothing . .. they don't have to if they are good . . . and if they are not good . . . you don't want 'em.

If you fellows like this idea of me telling the whole truth about something... let me know, and I'll break down some other items for you, so you can see just what makes them tick. Any questions you want answered . .. let me know... I fear NOBODY! Next month, I'll go back to commenting on your folders and other printed matter ... so send me your advertising to Tommy Windsor Studio, Marietta, Ohio.
